MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL ~ DEFENDER IN BATTLE PRAYER

🎬 ANIMATED BIBLE CINEMA (ABC) in conjunction with S.O.S. for CHRIST has just released an animated version of the Michael the Archangel Prayer (created by Pope Leo XIII) for such a time as this (Esth. 4:14) for the entire family to pray daily together.

🔹 OPENING SCENE: HEAVENLY REALM
Scene opens with radiant light breaking through the clouds. Trumpets sound. Michael the Archangel stands in full armor atop a cliff with wings spread wide and a sword raised to the heavens. "In the battle between good and evil, God has appointed powerful defenders to fight alongside us. One of these protectors is the mighty St. Michael the Archangel, prince of the heavenly host."

🔹 SCENE TWO: HISTORICAL BACKDROP – VATICAN, LATE 1800s
Transition to a candle-lit room in the Vatican. Pope Leo XIII sits in prayer, visibly shaken after a vision.

🎙️ Narrator:
"On October 13, 1884, after offering Mass in the Vatican, Pope Leo XIII collapsed. Those around him thought he had died. Moments later, he awoke—troubled, yet composed."

A reenactment of the pope’s vision shows a dark confrontation between Satan and the Church, followed by a powerful image of St. Michael casting the devil into Hell.

🔹 SCENE THREE: MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL PRAYER – ORIGINAL TEXT
The scene returns to the heavenly battlefield. Michael stands tall as the camera slowly zooms in.

"St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil;
may God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust (cast) into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls."
Amen.
