A boss with Nintendo made a statement defending the company’s decision to charge $80 for their upcoming game Mario Kart World for the Switch 2.

After Nintendo made the announcement of their latest console, they have been getting a lot of backlash from fans angry about the price; something Nintendo left out of their announcement stream. The new price for the Switch 2 has drawn some criticism, but the majority of people are complaining about the costs of games. The worry amongst gamers is that $80 for a new release will set a standard other video game developers will follow. Nintendo argues Mario Kart World is a special case because of the size and value of the game where-as other games will be price lower.
