I spent an unforgettable day in Phnom Penh with a sweet Cambodian girl who offered to be my guide around the city. We kicked things off with a peaceful walk along the riverside — the views were beautiful, the air was fresh, and the whole place had this calm, laid-back energy.

We stopped by a cozy coffee shop she liked, grabbed our drinks, and had some really fun conversations — from travel stories to everyday life in Cambodia. After coffee, we headed to Coconut Park, a super chill spot where locals hang out. It was a nice place to unwind and enjoy the vibe.

Next, we dove into the heart of Phnom Penh at Central Market. She helped me haggle like a local (she’s got skills!), and we browsed through colorful stalls packed with snacks, souvenirs, and clothes.

Later in the afternoon, things got deeper when we visited the Genocide Museum. The atmosphere was heavy, but it was an eye-opening experience. She even shared a bit about her family's past, which made the visit even more powerful and personal.

We wrapped up the day with a quiet moment together, just sitting and reflecting. It was a meaningful day full of fun, history, and a genuine connection.

Phnom Penh left a real impression on me — and I couldn’t have asked for better company.
