Canada: Pierre Poilievre promises to accelerate resource projects – April 7, 2025

Speaking with reporters in Terrace, B.C., Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre announces a plan to speed up approval for resource projects by creating a “one-and-done” rule for environmental reviews. He also promises to rapidly approve ten specific projects if his party forms government, among them Phase 2 of LNG Canada, a natural gas liquefaction project in northern British Columbia.
