PokeWilds: episode 14, starting a bridge

PokeWilds is a freeware fangame that's not an official Pokémon product. There's a lot of overworld Pokémon wandering around on the island. I should clean them up some more to prevent excessive eggs littering the island.

What's the purpose of building a bridge out into the open sea? You can venture out to find other islands. You can return to islands you've already been to, but venturing out somewhere new will generate a new island of a random size. A new island means more overworld Pokémon and a new layout, but the kinds of biomes and overall distribution of those biomes are the same. There's one dungeon that generates on the second island but no more after that.
