Regarding things of the Lord, discernment is in short supply, mainly due to Scriptural ignorance and manipulation of the text. If you torture the data long enough, it will confess to anything.

Tonight’s topic will focus on one particularly galling teaching growing like a noxious weed, one by Paula White and others, that prostitutes the Passover.

She references Exodus 12:7-15 which contains a partial list of Passover Week instructions. Then she mentions Exodus 23, culling from it, this idea:

“RELEASE 7 SUPERNATURAL BLESSINGS OF PASSOVER INTO YOUR LIFE”
According to Exodus 23, she says, if you honor Passover starting on Nisan 14/April 12 at sundown, followed by honoring the Gregorian Calendar Good Friday/Res. Day, God will give you these 7 blessings:

1. Assign an angel to you
2. Be an enemy to your enemies
3. Give you prosperity
4. Take sickness away
5. Give you long life
6. Cause increase for you
7. A special year of blessing

AD: “HONOR GOD WITH YOUR PASSOVER/EASTER RESURRECTION OFFERING OF $1000 OR MORE.” “IS THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVING YOU TO GIVE A VERY SPECIAL OFFERING?”

Oh boy. $1000 in this economy!!
This is appalling. Firstly, the actual focus in these Exodus passages is the nation of Israel, and contains many other instructions she fails to mention. These 7 blessings are given to Israel within the context of covenant faithfulness . . . "
