He dreamt of playing ping-pong with Gopher, sharing a smart cocktail with Isaac, dancing with Vicki and taking over command of the ship from Captain Stubing by staging a hostile mutiny with Julie. He joined the merchant marines for awhile and travelled around the world, coming down with numerous rare diseases and afflictions.
