Minnesota Food Bank (NGO) CEO Earning A Salary of $721,000 Per Year - Lawmakers Investigating

The CEO of a Minnesota Food Bank was getting paid $721K Per year, and when lawmakers started investigating, she decided to step down.

The NGO that Allison O’Toole was running – is called Second Harvest Heartland – her salary spiked in 2020 and topped out at more than $700K in 2022.

While O’Toole was making almost a million dollars a year - The nonprofit she was running asking for taxpayer dollars - sending out warnings about how many people were going hungry in the state

In fact, Second Harvest Heartland – along with a research organization did a study in January and found that one in five households in Minnesota are food insecure

According to the Feeding America website, “In Minnesota, 537,890 people are facing hunger – and of them 183,480 are children.”

So now that lawmakers are investigating O’Toole - she’s stepping down.
