Meteor- (Sci fI / Disaster) -1979

A five mile wide asteroid, Orpheus, is hit by a comet, the impact sends Orpheus on a collision course towards Earth, wreaking havoc on it's way. If Orpheus hits it will cause an extinction-level event. Can Orpheus be destroyed in time to save the Earth ?
