This elephant hunt takes place in the Zambezi Valley in Zimbabwe. I hunted with Buzz Charlton who is the most experienced Professional Elephant Hunter alive today and currently hunting. His preferred shot is either a frontal or side brain shot as he feels it is the most humane and respectful way to take an elephant because it is an instant kill. Which also makes it the safest shot for obvious reasons.

The rifle I used is a 1910 WJ Jeffery & Company in caliber 475 No. 2 Jeffery. Feel free to ask questions about it if you like. The shot distance was about 18 yards.
