John Kerry: Without Net Zero by 2050, the Planet Faces Climate Catastrophe

"Last January was the hottest January in human history."

According to John Kerry, Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Accord is based on misinformation, and without urgent action to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, the planet is approaching catastrophic levels of global warming.

"We must transition away from fossil fuel... We have to do so in a way that achieves net zero [by] 2050, which means trying to hold the Earth's temperature increase to 1.5 degrees, which we're already blowing past."
