🏔️ 8 days trapped in the Carpathians: border guards rescued two lost seekers of a "shortcut" abroad

Two men tried to bypass checkpoints and illegally cross the border with Romania. They wandered through the snow for eight days until they got caught in a blizzard. They couldn't get there on their own - they called and asked for help.

Border guards immediately went on a search together with rescuers of the State Emergency Service. They also involved a UAV operator. The search operation lasted until the morning. In difficult weather conditions - snow, fog and frost - people were found in the mountains and handed over to medics.
