The ‘god’ of this world.

Many Satanists say they do not believe in the ‘Christian Satan’ but that the Satan they worship is someone different entirely. To some, Satan is the Greek god Pan; others see him as the Egyptian god Set, and he is also called other names such as Melek Ta’us, Lucifer, and Iblis.

Each Satanist has a different version of who Satan is, and there is not one truth. Some call him the god of this world, as the Bible teaches. It suits them to call Satan a ‘god,’ but they don’t want to believe the rest of what the Bible says about Satan, such as:

He was a murderer from the beginning. (John 8:44)
He is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8: 44b)
He prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)
He disguises himself as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)
He is the dragon that was thrown down who deceives the whole world. (Revelation 12: 9)

Satanists also don’t want to believe that Satan will be sent into the lake of fire and tormented forever and ever. To do so, they would have to admit that Satan has lost and that he has lied to them about who he is and their eternity.

So, to be a Satanist, it is much easier to have wishful thinking when it comes to who Satan is and his future. But a time will come when a person must face the truth. Satan does not bring life. He is evil. One day, you will see him for who he truly is. I hope it’s not too late.

“And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”

Revelation 12: 9

“And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

Revelation 20:10

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

2 Corinthians 4: 3-4

“Again, the devil took Him along to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’”
