Protests erupted across the United States on Saturday as part of the "Hands Off!" movement, opposing the Trump administration's recent actions.

Demonstrators gathered in more than 1,200 locations across all 50 states, organized by over 150 groups, including civil rights organizations, labor unions, LGBTQ+ advocates, veterans, and election activists. The rallies remained peaceful, with no immediate reports of arrests.

The protests were sparked by President Donald Trump's decision to impose a 10 percent baseline tariff on imports from nearly all U.S. trading partners.
The move raised widespread concern and led to a tumultuous week for financial markets, marking the worst performance since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Economists have warned that the tariffs could lead to increased inflation and potentially trigger a recession.

Groups in downtown Portland, Selwood, Hillsboro, Beaverton, and Tigard protested, as well as Astoria, Salem, Clackamas County and more.
