‘The Duskbloods’ – FromSoftware’s Multiplayer-Focused Switch 2 Exclusive – Reveal Trailer

The Duskbloods is FromSoftware’s latest title and was announced during the recent Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. It will have a heavy focus on online multiplayer, both co-op (PvE) and competitive (PvP). You play as one of the Bloodsworn, which are best described as being somewhat like vampires in the sense that blood plays a major role in the gameplay and allows the player to customize their character. There are around a dozen different characters to choose from and they’re all competing for what’s known as First Blood, which allows them to transcend their humanity and attain supernatural abilities.

The combat might be somewhat of a departure from FromSoftware’s past Soulslike games, as it sounds like it will be faster and more dynamic. However, the game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki promises there will be plenty of lore and worldbuilding like in their past titles as the different characters are summoned to various locations and time periods, known as The Twilight of Humanity, to compete for First Blood.

The Duskbloods releases for Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026.
