Hello everyone. In this morning's Bible study we get back to our series on the Antichrist and the false prophet.

As we round up our segment on the antichrist there are some things that the LORD God wants us to clearly understand. What is that?

The reason for the antichrist and the person behind the antichrist. This is the what and the why of the tribulation. Friend, the Lord isn't keeping this a secret. It is written in the scriptures for our benefit and edification.

What then should we do with this knowledge? This knowledge should cause us to live a life dedicated to seeking God's face and righteousness. It should cause us to be totally dependent upon God's provision to live a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him. It should cause us with great urgency to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth that every unbeliever may have the hope of everlasting life.

With that said, let's turn our attention back to God's purpose for the tribulation, the antichrist and his partner in crime, the false prophet. Why? Why God will You allow the worst human who will ever live to deceive and even kill most of Your people Israel?

I do this for the praise of My glory and the glory of My grace. Wait, what?!!!

Yes, the Lord says that He will be glorified when Israel turns back to Him with their whole heart. Zechariah wrote about this in chapters 12 thru 14. Most of the prophets wrote about this time.

The has made covenants with Abraham, with Moses, and with David that have not yet come to pass, nonetheless they will in the future. The only questions are how will this happen and when will it come to pass.

Let's take a look at how the body of Christ should view these things and how we should address Israel today in her fallen state. Should we approve of Israel's sins and rebellion against God? Should we not call out her iniquities? Should we celebrate their atrocities and evil deeds?

Of course not! We should do exactly what Christ did in the Old Testament and what Jesus did in the New Testament. We should call out their sins and call them to repentance!

However we should also do what the prophets did in the Old Testament and what Paul in the New Testament. They cried out to God to save Israel and confessed their own sins as well. We are no better than they therefore it is our sins along with their sins that offends the Holy One of Israel.

Romans 10:1-4 (NKJV) Israel Needs the Gospel
1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

The tribulation is the call for Israel to return to her faith in the One True and Living God. The antichrist and the false prophet is the means, predetermined and appointed by God, to this end.
Zechariah 12:7-10 (NKJV)
7 “The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8 In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them. 9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Mourning for the Pierced One
10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
Romans 11:25-29 (NKJV)
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”
28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

Today's study is 1 hour and 44 minutes in duration. I have broken it into five segments. This is segment 2 of 5 titled Why does the devil want to kill all the Jews? Part 2
