“Beyond the Basics: A Call to Spiritual Maturity” - Hebrews Ch. 6

As Ch. 5 closed, our author rebuked the church that they should be teachers by now, yet they still needed "milk" rather than "solid food." In chapter 6 he continues in the same corrective tone as he urges believers to move beyond spiritual infancy and press on toward maturity, warning of the grave danger in turning ones back on the truth after having received it, as if there were any other truth to turn to.
We are then given a powerful reminder of God's unchanging promise and the sure hope we have, an anchor for the soul, secured through Jesus, our High Priest.
