A surgeon blew the whistle on a secret transgender program at the hospital where he worked

"What I found out is that the hospital did not shut down the program. They not only continued it, but expanded it - all of it behind closed doors.

The reason I knew this was because I worked there, and the people who were doing these surgeries told me they were doing it.

So, at some point, I knew I had to blow the whistle as part of my job as a doctor.
