Life at the Curb – Ride along with the Ice Cream Truck

Real America on a Cool Stick!!

A humorous video collection of real life and real people from a different perspective.

We have found that people act quite differently when they hear the joyful noise of an ice cream truck. The view from inside out and into the world of children, families and neighborhoods is a really cool experience. (please excuse the pun).

The experience of interacting with kid’s while serving ice cream novelties from a decorated ice cream truck at the curb is quite interesting and very enjoyable. What you see will make you laugh.

There is nothing more pure, wholesome and unscripted than kid’s buying ice cream at the ice cream truck. The waiting and listening for the ice cream bells, the arrival of the truck, making a decision, interacting with friends, the conversations and the joy of getting ice cream all become part of the process and it is funny to watch.

There is so much more “content” than just the simple ice cream truck selling novelties to kid’s. It’s a way bigger picture and it truly reflects life and habits of families and people across America.

While cruising neighborhoods and serving as a highly visible icon of American tradition, you get a real sense of what suburban America is all about. The scope of what you witness from behind the wheel is fantastic and intriguing.

Our interactions include kid’s of all ages, families, friends, groups of people and even the folks not buying ice cream but waving from their garages, yards or windows. People are not the only one’s’ who love the ice cream man as we also bring treats for our four-legged doggy friends.

We see it all from an angle that needs to be shared and we produce this content for good family entertainment. This is Bill Cosby’s “Kids Say The Darndest Things” meets Alan Funt’s “Candid Camera” on the streets in real life suburban America.

Here are a few of the concepts and subject matter for “Life at the Curb”:

#1 - The Ice Cream Dance – Anticipation – This is one of our favorite things to see. Most kid’s will stand on the street in front of their houses waiting for the ice cream truck to turn the corner. They can hear the music and have been waiting as other stops take place on streets before them. The moment the truck turns the corner and the kids can see it’s coming towards them, the break out into an ice cream dance. Some jump up and down while waving their arms as others start dancing a jig. Some groups move in rhythm

#2 - 50+ Ice Cream Flavors arrive at the Curb with music playing.

#3 - The Decision – Money, Flavor, Friends, Parents, Regulars, Undecided

#4 - Do you have any Free Ice Cream?

#5 - Can you wait right here?

#6 - Conversations with Kids

#7 - The Scams and Tricks

#8 - Doggies & Pets

#9 – Tippers – Pay it Forward Jar

#10 – Not happy – Crying – Spoiled – Next Time – No Money

#11 - Neighbor meeting Neighbors – Community

#12 – Waving – The Tradition

#13 – Drivers – Attitudes – Competition

#14 – Mechanical Problems – Driving Right Hand Vehicles

#15 – Stocking the Trucks – Moving Ice Cream

#16 – One Float Neighborhood Parade – Attraction

#17 – Special Events – Parties

#18 – Parades – Wow!!
