18th In our series the Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians

I. Jesus Said Occupy Til I Come - Luke 19:13
* A. Not sit on your hands till Jesus comes
* B. Win the lost, make disciples, disciple the nations - Matt 28:19

II. The Solution to Sin is Salvation - Ephesians 2:4-7
* A. We were dead spiritually
* B. Our spiritual resurrection was by the same power that raised Christ from the grave. 
* 1. The new birth was resurrection life flowing into us
* 2. We went from death to life
* C. But the parallel between our life and Christ doesn’t end there
* 1. This is key to why much of the church is so powerless
* 2. As Christ ascended to heaven so we too positionally have also ascended
* a. “Raised us up” doesn’t refer to the new birth
* b. The rest of verse six proves that it refers to Christ’s enthronement
* 3. Paul uses the same phraseology as Ephesians 1:20
* a. The Father seated Jesus
* b. The Father made us sit together in Christ - enthroned with Him
* c. This is spoken of as an accomplished event
* 4. What is the purpose of enthronement? To rule and reign - Revelation 1:6; 20:4
* a. What will that kingdom be like? Isaiah 65:19-22
* b. No hurt, no crime shall be allowed Isaiah 65:25
* c. The parable of the Nobleman - Luke 19:12-27
* 5. How we should we prepare?
* a. Disciples who rule and reign now in preparation for then
