European leaders are welcoming reassurances from Washington that the US remains committed to NATO. Foreign ministers have wrapped up a second day of meetings in Brussels, where they discussed peace in Ukraine - and how to build a 'MORE LETHAL' military alliance. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed suggestions that the US is not committed to NATO as 'hysteria' but stressed that his European allies must substantially increase defense spending. It comes after President Trump accused Europeans of taking US protection for granted and underspending on their own defense.
