Paul stands in her way and asks if the two are alright, and that Mr. Radetski wants to know where they are; still upset, Rogue tells Scott that she bets he would not endanger Paul in a training exercise, only for Paul to morph into Principal Darkhölme. As Rogue watches in surprise, Mystique then steps towards Scott and asks him if he is surprised to see his Principal on the trip; she then turns into her true form and asks him the same question, to which Scott remains shocked about. Rogue questions what happened to the real Paul, but Mystique answers that Paul is still back at Bayville High and was told the bus departed at a different time; she then morphs back into Paul and offers a hand to Rogue, stating that they should return to the class and admit Scott got into an accident. Angered over the situation, Rogue removes a glove and absorbs Mystique's memories in which she sees her and Destiny and how they were behind the X-Men's seemingly bad attitudes towards her. As Scott looks up, he sees Mystique only for her to revert into Rogue, who then helps him up.
