C-54 Skymaster burns after a raid by North Korean fighters on Suwon Air Base on June 28th 1950

The narrative of the attack starting at 2:15 was originally published in Life Magazine on July 10th 1950. At the time of the raid, the Korean People's Army was approaching and the base was being evacuated, which presumably explains the lack of firefighting teams dealing with the incident. Suwon Air Base would eventually be captured by the KPA on July 2nd, however it was recaptured on September 24th that same year following the landings at Inchon.
