Peek-a-Boo, I See You
Every night, Mia played peek-a-boo with her 3-year-old brother before bed. It was their sweet little ritual—she’d cover her eyes, say, “Peek-a-boo!” and he'd giggle and do the same.

But tonight felt… off.

When Mia covered her eyes and whispered, “Peek-a-boo, I see you!”
Her brother didn’t laugh.

She opened her eyes—and he was staring past her, eyes wide, pointing behind her.
“Not me…” he whispered. “The lady in the closet.”

Mia turned slowly.

The closet door creaked open. Inside, nothing.
Just darkness.

She sighed in relief and turned back—but her brother was gone.
Only a whisper remained in the air:

“Peek-a-boo… I see you.”
