Replacing water pump 2003 Buick Leseber 3.8 part 1
7 months ago
1
Start by identifying the problem. Filling the radiator with some coolant or in this instance water and locating the leak.
Take off the serpentine belt right after drawing a diagram or knowing/remembering the belt pattern. VERY IMPORTANT!
Use an 8mm socket or 5/16 to loosen the bolts to the water pump. Make sure you drain the coolant or water from the radiator prior.
15 mm to go on the tensioner pulley, this will allow you to slip the belt off.
Remove the bolts that were loosened on the water pump.
