Replace water pump 2003 Buick Lesabre 3.8 Part 2

If the water pump housing doesn't come off with ease (like this example) use a pry-bar or something of the sort to separate it from the engine.

Clean any debris or gunks that may/will be found around the housing on the engine. Sandpaper, wire brush, scraper of some sort. be easy yet firm when cleaning. VERY IMPORTANT!

Get new gasket and place in proper location before assembling new water pump.

Place the new pump on the engine carefully with eh gasket exactly where it needs to be and install bolts.

At this point backtrack your steps by putting everything back together with the pully going back on then putting the serpentine bel back in the correct pattern.
