RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
BAIER: “Mark, welcome. Obviously is he getting pushback from Republican allies as well.”

HALPERIN: “And business leaders, your inbox like mine and Twitter feed like mine is built with people on Wall Street saying this is the greatest act of political suicide of all time. That it won’t work. And that the negative effects will be vast. You’ve got job layoffs. Have you got inflation already. My friend looked at his Amazon checkout box and prices were raised right in there. At the same time, I talk to people who are not political who say, you know, basically we have three paths, the status quo where America was in economic decline. We have socialism, and then we have this. Donald Trump wants to be a mount rushmore, high risk, high reward. He is going for it. Will he back down? I think he will go by the dictum he always does. What is mine is mine what is yours we will negotiate over. If he can get a better deal for America he will take it.”

BAIER: “What about those deals? Do you think they are coming, Matthew?”

CONTINETTI: “I don’t know. What I do know is that Donald Trump has believed that the global trading system has been ripping off the United States for generations. And now he’s at the height of his power, reelected to a nonconsecutive second term, joan iing his highest approval ratings ever. And he is implementing an economic vision he has had for the world for decades. He is at a point sure countries can come to the White House. They can come to Mar-a-Lago and arguing for lowerings tariffs helling all the cards. We seal how the experiment playing out in months ahead of midterm elections.”
