THE U.S. COAST GUARD VS. ILLEGAL ALIENS AT SEA
US Coast Guard triples shore protection
#1. The numbers of illegal aliens coming from over the sea is increasing.
#2. U.S. Coast Guard has “tripled” the number of guardsmen deployed to protect the border
#3. The administration is turning more attention to our shores now.
#4. This is because the number of intercepted illegal alien boats has shown no signs of slowing.
#5. Although overland borders have shown remarkably low numbers of trafficking, our shores have not.
#6. “We’ve essentially tripled the amount of Coast Guard assets on the southern border,” says Peter Nelson, Officer in Charge of Coast Guard Station San Diego.
#7. The Coast Guard has stopped 260 smuggling vessels since Oct. 1st of last year.
#8. Over 561 boats were intercepted in 2024.
#9. A Border Patrol Agent said, “They use the ocean to enter.”
#10. This last Sunday, 17 Mexican illegal aliens, including two unaccompanied children and three women, were found “disabled and adrift” on their 35-foot boat roughly 50 miles southwest of San Diego.
#11. Both Coast Guard and Navy rescued them as they waved white flags to call out for help.
#12. They were taken into custody and are being deported as I speak.
#13. Meanwhile, agents on the southern land border see record-low illegal crossings.
#14. Illegal aliens stopped or presume ‘gottaways’ showed the lowest number in at least 25 years.
#15. The Coast Guard warns against sneaking into the country by sea.
#16. The Coast Guard warns that illegal trafficking vessels are typically “unseaworthy or overloaded vessels” that often put illegal aliens in “deadly” situations.
#17. “Do not take to the sea. You could lose your life. We remain steadfast in our commitment to saving lives and discouraging anyone from taking to the sea in ways that are unsafe and illegal,” the Coast Guard said in a statement.
#18. A DHS source says California is experiencing continued illegal landings on its shores, but they are seeing a massive drop in such crossings.
#19. The source said these boats are caught long before they get close enough to land and are turned back immediately.
#20. Smugglers are drawn to California in particular because of California State sanctuary laws barring local cops from working with federal immigration authorities, according to a Border Patrol source.
