Tufts University is calling for the release of their Turkish doctoral student, Rümeysa Öztürk, who was grabbed off the street by masked ICE agents and detained over her Pro-Palestine views.

A hearing in Öztürk's case is scheduled for Thursday in US District Court for Massachusetts.

Speaking out for the first time since her arrest, Rümeysa Öztürk, says efforts to ‘target’ her because of her op-ed will not deter her from her ‘commitment to advocate for the rights of youth and children,’ according to a statement given through her attorney.
