PCCs (Pre-Combat Checks):
These are individual checks conducted by soldiers to ensure they and their equipment are ready for a mission. It's a personal responsibility to verify that all necessary gear is present and functioning.
PCIs (Pre-Combat Inspections):
These are inspections conducted by leaders, such as team leaders or platoon leaders, to verify that soldiers have performed their PCCs and that all unit equipment is present and serviceable. Essentially, it's a leader's check on the soldiers' individual checks.
