BALLASY: “Can I just get your reaction to everything that’s going on with Tesla, the boycott, and now the violence at these service centers?”
RASKIN: “I’m opposed to all violence, beginning with the January 6 violent Insurrection where 140 of our police officers were attacked by Proud Boys and Oath Keepers and other members of the mobs and the militias that were sent out by Donald Trump, and of course I’m opposed to violence against property, too. I haven’t heard about a boycott, but I’m sure there’s a natural boycott going on because people say that Tesla sucks. But it’s a free market, so everybody can make their own decision about that.”
BALLASY: “Do you think it defeats the purpose, though, of climate change, if they’re out there destroying — “
RASKIN: “Is it the only electric car? Is that the only — “
BALLASY: “No, but they’re the leader. They’re revolutionary.”
RASKIN: “I’m not in the market for car now, but when I am, I’ll let you know what my calculation’s about that.”
