The Headless Horseman

Every year on the night of October 31st, the fog rolls thick over Hollow Creek. The villagers whisper of the Headless Horseman—once a soldier, now a cursed spirit who lost his head in battle. They say he returns to find it… or take one in its place.

That night, 17-year-old Eli dared his friends to visit the old battlefield. "Ghosts aren't real," he laughed. But as midnight struck, hooves thundered from the trees. A black horse burst from the fog—its rider cloaked in black, headless, holding a bloodstained axe.

Frozen in fear, Eli tried to run, but the horseman pointed at him with a gloved hand. The next morning, all that remained was Eli’s phone—still recording—capturing his last scream and the sound of a blade slicing through the air.

No one has dared to go near Hollow Creek since. But sometimes, on cold, foggy nights… you can still hear the hooves.
