The Lazy Town Shuffle was recorded in 1984 by the Hi-Tones, Barry Fright's studio backup band. The guitarist in the Hi-Tones, Dusty Deedbooks aka Rusty Bedsprings, went on to play guitar in Scariens for many years. After the Barry Fright single on Hi-Tone records flopped, the record company did not release Lazy Town Shuffle or any further recordings by Barry Fright and/or the Hi-Tones,

The footage juxtaposed in this video is made from scraps of a 1941 cartoon, now in the public domain, produced by Walter "Peckerwood" Lantz, creator of Woody Woodpecker. The cartoon was named Scrub Me Momma With A Boogie Beat.
