Mass Reading Reflection for Thursday, April 3, 2025
Fourth Week of Lent (Year B) are Genesis 17:3-9 (first reading), Psalm 105:4-9, and John 8:51-59 (Gospel)

“O Jesus, today’s Gospel proclaims Thy eternal promise—‘Whoever keeps My word shall not see death.’ Bishop Sheen exulted, ‘Thou, O Lord, art the timeless I AM!’ Genesis unveils Thy covenant with Abraham, a pledge kept through ages by Thy faithful hand. St. Charbel guides us to trust Thee beyond time, while Gibran sighs, ‘Eternity hides in the seed of a moment.’ The Lord saith, ‘Before Abraham was, I am’—His voice shatters the tomb’s silence. This Lent, hold fast to one word of His—hope or love—and live in His forever. Your faith, rooted in Thee, O Lord, blossoms beyond the grave.”
