Comedian Kypree Taylor Arrested for Brutal Assault on Girlfriend

According to reports, the altercation began when Taylor and Mays, who had been in a relationship, got into an argument over what Mays described to police as "something stupid." The situation quickly escalated, and video evidence allegedly shows Taylor brutally assaulting Mays in a bedroom, repeatedly punching her in the head and ribs. The footage, which surfaced online shortly after the incident, was shared by Mays’ sister, Ariel Woods, who claimed this was not the first time Taylor had abused her sister. Police reports state that Mays sustained significant injuries, including swelling under her eye and on her cheek, and was hospitalized following the attack.

Battle Creek police were called to the scene on Sunday, March 30, but Taylor reportedly fled on foot before officers arrived. He was later apprehended nearby and taken into custody. His bond was set at $25,000, and his first court appearance is scheduled for April 16, 2025.
