April 1, 2025 – 3:00 PM – Riverside, California: A shocking road rage incident was captured on a motorcyclist’s helmet camera, showing him being knocked off his bike and dragged down the street by an enraged driver.

The motorcyclist, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated that the confrontation began when he was filtering to the front of traffic at a red light—a legal practice in California. As he approached, a black Nissan abruptly cut him off.

“He just swerved right in front of me,” the rider recalled. “I had to go around him, and yeah, I was frustrated—I shook my head.”

This seemingly minor gesture escalated the situation. The rider noticed the driver rolling down his window and appearing to yell, prompting him to get off his bike to address the issue.

“He asked, ‘Why are you shaking your head at me?’ and I told him, ‘Because you cut me off,’” the motorcyclist recounted. “He responded, ‘Well, I was ahead of you—I’m first.’ I said, ‘That’s not how it works. If you’re this upset, go seek therapy.’”
Without warning, the driver accelerated, striking the motorcycle and knocking the rider to the ground. The car then dragged him several feet before coming to a stop.

Helmet camera footage shows the rider sliding beneath the vehicle, narrowly avoiding serious injury. Fortunately, he escaped with only minor scrapes and bruises.

“It felt like forever,” he said. “I was scared. I thought I was going to die.”

Bystanders called 911, and Riverside police reported that 32-year-old Gary Delandro eventually turned himself in. Delandro faces attempted murder charges, with bail set at $1 million.
