AEW Dynamite 4/2/25 Was a Total Snoozefest – Cope Main Event?! “Timeless” Trash?! #shorts

AEW Dynamite on April 2nd, 2025… folks, I’ve seen some bad TV, but this was next-level boredom. An absolute SNOOZEFEST. It felt like a show written in a coffee shop during a hangover. No energy, no excitement, just filler. Let me break it down—for the people who still care.

We open with Death Riders (Moxley & Marina Shafir) vs. Swerve & Willow—and listen, I like Swerve, I really do. Talented guy. But this match? Total “meh.” Felt like they were just going through the motions. Crowd was asleep. Dr Bomb finishes it, but nobody will remember this tomorrow.

Then we got "Timeless" Toni Storm vs. Penelope Ford. And let me tell you something—“Timeless” might be the worst gimmick in wrestling. Just awful. Feels like bad dinner theater. Storm wins with a Storm Zero in yet another meh match. Just skip it.

Now the Hurt Business segment with MVP and Bobby Lashley could’ve been something—Shelton Benjamin was grounded (literally, bad weather), okay, fine. But then MJF shows up. Wants to join the group. Gives a weird pitch. MVP says no. And that’s it. Waste of time. Could’ve been a great angle, but AEW fumbled it—again.

The Learning Tree (Big Bill & Bryan Keith) beat two jobbers in a match so pointless, even the jobbers didn’t care. One chokeslam, over. Total filler.

Next up: Kevin Knight & Will Ospreay vs. Blake Christian & Lee Johnson. Could’ve been good, SHOULD’VE been good—but it wasn’t. Botched moves, zero chemistry. Knight hit one of the ugliest springboard lariats I’ve ever seen. Sad!

Brody King vs. Lance Archer was next. Just a sloppy lariat ends it. These guys used to be monsters. Now they look like they’re sleepwalking. Waste of both men.

And the main event? Folks… Cope (yes, Edge, but washed) vs. Claudio Castagnoli. Big match on paper. In reality? Snoozefest. Cope wins with a spear in a “nothing” match. And they’re trying to say THIS is how you build young stars? By pinning Claudio like he’s nobody? Please. That’s not how you help the next generation. That’s how you relive your old glory days.

This show was a mess. Top to bottom. AEW needs help. And Tony? Still fumbling.
