Aarav moved into his new apartment, a small, quiet place on the outskirts of the city. It was cheap, almost too cheap. But he didn’t question it—until the first night.

As he turned off the lights, a **shadow** flickered across the wall. It wasn’t his. He froze. The room was still, yet the **shadow moved**.

Ignoring it, he went to sleep.

The next night, the **shadow appeared again**. This time, it was **closer** to his bed. It had **no source**, no object casting it—just a dark, humanoid figure standing by the door.

By the third night, Aarav couldn’t sleep. He left the light on. But at exactly **3:00 AM**, the **bulb flickered and died**. In the darkness, he felt something **watching him**.

Terrified, he grabbed his phone and turned on the flashlight. The **shadow was now at his bedside**, looming over him.

A whisper echoed:
*"You brought me here."*

His phone screen lit up with a **new photo**—a picture of **himself, sleeping... but with a hand on his throat.**

The light returned. The **shadow was gone.**

But every night since, he **sleeps with the lights on—because in the darkness, it waits.**
