How Close Are Projectile Lots? - Alpha Brass Testing

So, preparing for my next match, I realized I am at the end of my current lot of 108 Hornady projectiles! I am going to try and see how close they are.
I may not be able to just run through to the end of one and switch to the next doing a bulk load session that I won't have time to check zero between Saturday and Sunday matches. I am now on my first time with the new Alpha brass for the full process. I annealed, sized, and mandreled these before loading like I did when new.

These turned out to be pretty close. It seems one has a slower speed than the other. Which is very strange to me. On target, I think they are close enough to do the job I need them to do. These have gotten faster than the new, out of the box firing on the brass! I think my sizing and mandrel steps are gripping the bullet a little tighter and making it exit the barrel faster by a few fps.

I have found that my biggest issue with checking zero is getting my parallax set correctly! That is tricky at 100 yards I am finding. I seem to have a decent bit of crosshair movement. I think it has to do with my neck, eye, and scope alignment. I am not very comfortable in the prone position usually. I seem to have a lanky neck, lol. So, I did this standing and was able to get most of the center crosshair movement resolved.
I think by the last group shown, you can see that my ideas seem to have worked out pretty well!

The ammo should be good for this weekend. If all goes to plan, I will do a match Saturday and Sunday. I'm letting myself skip the Sunday match if needed. I don't need to totally exhaust myself, lol. If I feel up to it, I am going to hit them both back to back though! Stay tuned to see if I can pull this off.

Thanks for watching my little test here. I appreciate you all every week. I am always looking to learn more and test different ideas.
I hope you have a great day and an awesome weekend!
