Wisconsin voters approve GOP-backed voter ID amendment in effort to protect election integrity

Wisconsin voters handed the GOP a win and a loss on Tuesday.

The liberal candidate, Susan Crawford won the contentious election for a seat on the state's supreme court. But voters also passed a GOP-backed measure to enshrine voter ID laws into the state constitution, making it much more difficult to change the existing state law should Democrats return to power in the state legislature.
