We test drive the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta SE, its fuel-efficient, affordable, and reasonably capacious, the Jetta gets the job done without feeling dishearteningly cheap.

A mildly refreshed fascia offers new grille and headlamp designs, and there's an available grille-spanning light bar option for the Sport trim and up. A new trunk lid with a standard full-width light bar connects the tail lamps.

The base S includes some nice features, including rain-sensing wipers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated exterior mirrors, dual-zone climate control, and a some standard safety features, including forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
