Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we continue to look into the Day of the Lord which is commonly known as the 7-year Tribulation.

Did you know that the Day of the Lord really last for more that 7 years? According to the scriptures the Day of the Lord includes both the 7-year Tribulation and the 1000-year Millennium reign of Christ on the Earth.

Our focus tonight however will be on the content of the 7-year time period as outlined by the Old Testament prophets. Each prophet that spoke concerning the Day of the Lord declared it to be a time of the out pouring of God's wrath upon the earth and humanity.

The goal is to destroy man's hope in their false gods and their materialism. These two realities come to fruition in Revelation 17 and 18 at the end of the age. Yet the prophets spoke concerning these things thousands of years ago.

They declared that there will be world wide deception and that it will God who will be responsible for bringing about that deception.

You may be saying, wait, what? God is going to bring the deception upon people? Yes, that's correct.

Why would a God of love do that? Because the Lord is a Savior. What? That doesn't make any sense.

It makes sense to God. In order to reveal Himself as a Savior there must first be people to save from something therefore He allowed sin to enter His creation.

In order to demonstrate that He is holy, righteous, just, and true, God must have the right to punish the offending sinner. Hence God is both a just Savior and a righteous Judge.

Tonight's study is 1 hour and 11 minutes in duration. I have divided it into four segments. This is segment 4 of 4 titled What is the Day of the LORD? Part 4
