Making a Living (1914) was Charlie Chaplin's first silent comedy film, produced by Keystone Studios. In this short film, Chaplin plays a cunning and deceitful man who tries to become a newspaper reporter. The film is filled with classic slapstick comedy, including humorous chase sequences and physical gags. Although Chaplin had not yet introduced his iconic "Tramp" character, Making a Living marked the beginning of his legendary career, which would later make him one of the greatest stars of the silent film era.
