Today’s Mass Reading: Wednesday, April 2, 2025

Readings: Fourth Week of Lent (Year B) Daniel 3:14-20, 91-92, 95 (first reading), Daniel 3:52-56 (responsorial), John 8:31-42 (Gospel)

“O Jesus, today’s Gospel bids us abide in Thy word—‘The truth shall set you free,’ Thou sayest. Bishop Sheen thundered, ‘Liberty is Thy gift, O Lord, not man’s chain!’ Daniel’s three youths defy the furnace, for Thou, their God, art worth their fire. St. Charbel guides us to stand firm in Thee, while Gibran muses, ‘Truth is a flame that burns the veil.’ The Lord saith, ‘If the Son frees you, you are free indeed’—sin’s shackles fall before Him. This Lent, cling to one truth of His—love or mercy—and let it blaze in your soul. Your freedom, forged in His word, sings with the angels’ hymn.”

Theme: Truth and freedom—Sheen’s bold clarity, Charbel’s steadfastness, Gibran’s poetic fire.
