*Meeting Zachariah in the burned wreckage of downtown Houston, Fridge instantly recognizes the genius of the kid. He and Annie even convince Zach to join up with them, to not just rebuild Houston but to rebuild it in a way that will end the crime that has ravaged the city for decades. Fridge wants to do exactly what Zach had dreamt of doing with Reject....become heroes that don't just fight planetary threats at the behest of some government but instead be heroes that stay street level and help the poor that are always forgotten. Fridge, conveniently, forgets to mention how his way of cleaning up the streets ends only in death but he doesn't forget to steer Zach towards helping him in his main goal. He will find Candy Cane, he will get revenge for Camille's death, and he will find out how Candy was involved with the Serum 7 that got Fridge's wife killed and Fridge sent to prison for a decade. Using the technology found in Zach's lab, Fridge and Zach quickly discover a way to track the portals Candy makes and they prepare to attack. Leaving Annie behind, because Fridge will not lose another he cares for, Zach and he take on Candies Pixies and Big Boys. But while Zach uses stunning lasers from his suit to knock every Pixie he finds senseless, he is horrified at the brutality Fridge employs. This is their first fight together and the way Fridge beats every Big Boy to death is just too much so when Fridge finally gets Candy and gets ready to end her, Zach begs him to stop. With his suit, and other stunning techniques, he gets Candy to confess without too much violence. She reveals that all she knows about Serum 7 is that it was given to her at some Nesh/Ack lab...at a lab run by Zach's father...before Fridge knocks her out. Tying her up, and promising to go with Zach the next day to the nearest Nesh/Ack facility in Houston, Fridge instead sneaks away from Zach's lab and goes back to enact his revenge.
