Nonconvulsive Status Epilepticus That Manifested As Catatonia

This is my son Brian, when the seizures began to mix in together with the catatonia. I had made this video for a neurologist of his formerly. Catatonia always has a driver, it is not a stand alone condition. The first driver was a medicine. The last driver was epilepsy which began 2019, with the catatonia that had returned. He is actually sound asleep in this video. What he is doing is a symptom of catatonia but it is a manifestation of a nonconvulsive status epilepticus, which i stopped with 10 mg diazepam. I did NOT stop catatonia. I stopped seizures, status epilepticus. I do NOT believe diazepam treats catatonia, AT ALL. I've stopped status before with the same med and watched symptoms of catatonia re-emerge in the er before though the seizures did not. I do not personally believe diazepam treats catatonia at all, it merely sedates. What was stopped by the diazepam in this video was the undergirding nonconvulsive status epilepticus which you can not see with out an eeg machine. The nonconvulsive seizures were causing the symptom of catatonia to manifest as continually as the seizures. If I had treated the catatonia instead (with the medicine that is for that, NOT diazepam) -he would have died right there from status epilepticus. I was treating seizures, NOT catatonia.
