Proof Mormons Hate Their Own God - The Talk We Rejected.

Today in preparation for General Conference I'm reading the most infamous Brigham Young Talk. The one where he explained the correct interpretation of The Endowment.

Does this talk sound like speculation? Is this so hard to understand? Why can't we just accept it? Will Christ really accept us if we have not at least seriously considered these teachings as the Truth? Think on these things, and hopefully we can lay the groundwork so these past 100 years of confusion can become the foundation of a strong future.

Maybe then, just maybe, God will spare us.

I have not been able to find a condemnation of this whole "Michael is our Father" teaching that is couched in stronger prophetic language than the language it was declared in this moment by Brother Brigham.

The structure of this talk is a little Loosey Goosey cause they didn't believe in teleprompters or prepared speeches back then. They thought it was important to speak without a script. Which happens to be why I try and do my videos that aren't just reading, scriptless.

I wanted to include the full context of all his "mini sermons" so people can see how simple his teachings were. It is also really interesting to hear them talk about tithing, it was such a nuts and bolts no nonsense subject back then. Just plainly speaking about the money and what they needed it for. The tithing went right back into the community. Far from the very uncomfortable prosperity gospel lessons we participate in from time to time today.

Self-Government—Mysteries—Recreation and Amusements, Not in Themselves Sinful—Tithing—Adam, Our Father and Our God

A Sermon by President Brigham Young, Delivered in the Tabernacle,
Great Salt Lake City, April 9, 1852.

As Reported by G. D. Watt.

This reading is far from perfect, but I figure its better than reading it or listening to a robot for some people's tastes.
