Canada's car industry fears for future as Trump set to unveil sweeping tariffs

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday that President Trump will go ahead with his sweeping tariffs on April 2, saying the days of America, in her words "being ripped off are over." It's a cause for great concern across the border in Canada, particularly for automotive workers, one the industries likely to be first hit and hardest. Cars and auto parts are the country’s second-biggest export and the industry directly and indirectly employs about 500,000 people. Eliza Herbert and Sophie Samaille have more.
