Japan's Third Most Beautiful Waterfall Is A Must See - Fukuroda Falls in November

Fukuroda Falls is rated Japan's third most beautiful waterfall with autumn often cited as the best time to visit

I started my adventure by taking a train to Daigo and setting up camp at Kamiogawa Camping Ground on the Kuji river. Then I took another train to the closest station to Fukuroda Falls and walking.

Fukuroda Falls was crowded but orderly. Thanks to its elevation, It had better autumn foliage than my campground. After looking at the falls from the observation decks, I took the tunnels and exited by the suspension bridge. I hiked up until I was over the beautiful Fukuroda Falls and could see Namase Falls.

I backtracked down the mountain side and hiked away from the falls to the touristy areas. I got a cooked Ayu and started my walk back to the train station and my campground.

➡️I went camping in Daigo, Ibaraki in November and stayed at Kamiogawa Camping Ground.

➡️ Kamiogawa Camping Ground is located along the Kugji River and has a train bridge pass over the campground

➡️ Nearby is Fukuroda No Taki, also known as Fukuroda Falls. Fukuroda Falls is rated as Japan's 3rd most beautiful waterfall.

➡️ Fukuroda Falls is considered to be at its most beautiful in autumn when the foliage highlights its beauty

➡️Namase Falls is a hike after Fukuroda Falls and not many people climb up to see it. However, the scenic walk is worth it.

➡️ The Kugji River or Kugigawa is a major river for ayu fishing. When visiting it logically makes sense to get an ayu that was salted and cooked over coals to eat
