☆In the hot summer of 1934 Scotland Yard was kept busy at Brighton on the south coast of England. The bodies of 2 young women were found in two separate trunks within a month of each other. There the similarities ended: detectives soon realised this was not the work of a serial killer, but of two killers - it was an astonishing coincidence. The investigations of the two cases ran concurrently, and although one resulted in a trial and the other in suspicions of a disreputable doctor at Brighton, neither had a satisfactory outcome. It seems that two men got away with murder that year...
